Tyler was on his way home from working an Insomniac show at Expo Park in Los Angeles. He had apparently taken the Metro E train to the Culver City stop and went to the CVS store at the northwest corner of Venice and Robertson Boulevards. After leaving the CVS, he was at or near the M33 bus stop on the north side of Venice Boulevard just east of Robertson.
He was apparently crossing Venice Boulevard to the south towards the Metro station when struck by the hit and run vehicle in the center lane of the west bound lanes. There is an active police investigation in process.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact LAPD’s West Traffic Division at (213) 473-0234 or the LAPD’s 24-hour tipline at 877-527-3247. A city reward of up to $50,000 is available for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the driver.
